José Noe Suro

In the 1950s, Noah Suro established a small design studio called Cerámica Suro in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. This was uncommon for the area at the time, as the studio primarily focused on creating ceramics. Initially, it produced dinnerware and decorative pieces for top Mexican resorts. Over the years, José Noé Suro, the son of founder Noah, has taken over the family business, overseeing three factories: the original in Tlaquepaque, one on Calle 5, and one in Guadalajara. With a team of 100 collaborators and 12 dedicated employees, the studio serves as a hub for creatives from around the world, including artists, architects, interior designers, and chefs. They come together to collaborate on innovative design projects and also have the opportunity to work on their own projects while in residency.
