EX-HACIENDA GUADALUPE

A restoration guided by the history of the house, but never confined by it. Working with local architects, builders and artisans, the hacienda has been rebuilt slowly by hand, using regional materials, traditional techniques and the craft that still surrounds it.
An ongoing, ever-changing labor of love.

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México

La Casa DRAGONES

For the transformation of La Casa Dragones, a 17th-century property in San Miguel de Allende, Raúl Cabra and Ana Elena Mallet led the design curation, bringing together what they termed Mid-Century Bajío with contemporary Mexican design. Working with Meyer Davis and architect Marco Martínez Valle, the historic stables were reimagined as a four-room residence for Casa Dragones Tequila and a showcase for Mexican craft, materials and design.
Winner of the 2024 Créateurs Design Award for Best Hospitality Project in Interior Design.

Punta MITA, NAYARIT, MéXICO

RUBRA PALAPA BAR

At Rubra, chef Daniela Soto-Innes's restaurant in Punta Mita, Casa Dragones created its first tequila tasting bar outside San Miguel de Allende. Set within the restaurant's garden and conceived around a huerto-to-bar experience, the project brings together a terrazzo bar originally designed by architect Tatiana Bilbao with interiors by Raúl Cabra, combining Mexican craft, material and design with the landscape and fauna of Nayarit.

Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, MéXICO

CASA OAXACA RESTAURANT

In 2006, Raúl Cabra worked with architect Claudina López Morales and chef Alejandro Ruiz on the comprehensive redesign of Casa Oaxaca Restaurant. It marked the first time Cabra brought food, space and objects together as a single idea, developing pieces specifically for the restaurant and integrating local craft throughout. The project became an early model for a way of working in which interiors, objects and hospitality are conceived as one complete experience.
