With contributions from other creative minds like Dr Lakra, Castro Leñero, Raul Cabra, Trine Ellitsgaard, and RIcardo Pinto, Nueve Puntos is a magnificent design by painter James Brown, who resided in Oaxaca before relocating to Merida, Yucatan.

Born in Los Angeles in 1951, James Brown passed away on February 22, 2020 in Merida, Mexico. In 1978, the Gemeentemuseum in Arnheim, The Netherlands showcased his first one-man exhibition, followed by numerous displays at significant American and European institutions. Most recently, the contemporary art museum in Oaxaca and the Diego Rivera-Anahuacalli museum in Mexico honored him with two major exhibitions.
