The Handleless Espresso Cup is a black-clay interpretation of the original red-clay design created during the Crafting Futures residency, sponsored by the British Council Mexico. The program brought designers from Great Britain to Oaxaca for three weeks of collaboration with Mexican designers and artisans.

Developed by ceramicist Billy Lloyd with Mujeres del Barro Rojo, the cup settles neatly into its saucer, creating a subtle and beautifully resolved pairing.
