Carlos Pelestor "El Arco" Cabo San Lucas Oil Painting C. 1980s

Sale price$675.00

This small but beautiful oil painting on stretched canvas captures "El Arco" or "The Arch," a 200-foot granite rock formation that juts out of the water at Land's End and serves as the iconic symbol of Cabo San Lucas. Its unique shape was formed by the powerful ocean currents and is expertly depicted and signed by artist Carlos Pelestor.

10"L x 8"H x 1"D

At the age of 12, Carlos Pelestor had his first encounter with painting when he discovered art materials at his grandfather's house. Before devoting himself full-time to artistic production, Carlos Pelestor dabbled in other disciplines, such as civil engineering and teaching in the field of physics and mathematics. In 1977, he rekindled his interest in art, focusing on creating landscapes with delicate technique in which perspective and color work give each of his pieces a unique personality. He currently resides in Vierzon, France, where he continues to produce artworks, blending the inspiration of the Mexican land with that of the Gallic country. Source consulted: VELÁSQUEZ, Esther.
