The Elena Collection gets its name from chef Elena Reygadas, whose restaurants Rosetta, Lardo, and Bella Aurora have become iconic in Mexico City. This version of the Vajilla Elena is made from barro fuerte — a traditional Oaxacan clay body with higher sand content, fired in open-air wood kilns. About Barro Fuerte
Barro fuerte — literally "strong clay" — is a traditional ceramic body used across Oaxaca, distinguished by its higher sand content and coarser texture. Pieces are hand-formed and fired in open-air wood kilns, where direct contact with flame and ash leaves behind the natural black markings that give each piece its character. It is a working clay with a long history — honest, resilient, and deeply rooted in the everyday life of Oaxacan communities.

About Handmade Pieces
Crafted by hand using techniques passed down through generations of master artisans. Variations in color, texture, and finish are inherent to the process — each piece is, by nature, one of a kind.
