Oruga Palm Bowl
Our Oruga bowls are beautifully woven in "Nudo Mixteco" an intricate technique used for pieces that require durability and strength. Made for "Las Montanas" restaurant in Aspen, it is perfect for chips, bread or even the occasional small bread rising basket.

Made in Oaxaca
Our palm pieces are hand woven in the Mixteca region of Oaxaca and in the mountains of Guerrero. The palm is hand harvested using donkeys because of the treacherous locations where the palm grows. After gathering, the palm is dried and previous to weaving, soaked in water for a few hours. The palm is then taken to caves carved in the back yards of the weavers to keep them in a temperature-controlled environment, and to be split and finally hand woven. A work of dedication and love for the craft.
